Big Wins in Georgia and Missouri
Tuesday was a great day for 21st Century Democrats' endorsed candidates. We went 5 for 5 in a series of critical primaries. In Georgia, Jim Martin handily defeated Vernon Jones in their US Senate primary run-off. In Missouri, Judy Baker, Kay Barnes, Deb Lavender and Clint Zweifel all won their races and will be on the ballot in November.

Jim, whom I still think of as "Jimmy" was a few years ahead of me in Northside high school, Atlanta, already a leader, someone I admired. His integrity was so evident it was almost an aura. He stopped me in the hall one afternoon, told me he wanted to run for governor one day, and asked if I'd vote for him. A resounding 'yes', I gave him, and since character and integrity doesn't change when hair starts turning grey, I have no doubt he is our man.
