MCCAIN GONE WILD!!!
Well, I've seen it coming and it has finally happened:
McCain has lost his mind.
I can see the desperation oozing out of his very pores. The more he speaks, the sadder he looks and, quite frankly, I wouldn't be at all surprised if he gets carted off in a white jacket with very long sleeves soon.
I'm not particularly a fan of Senator Obama but to blame him for high gas prices and comparing him to Paris Hilton and Britney Spears is over the top. Evidently, no one ever explained to Senator McCain that Paris' father is, himself, a McCain supporter and Britney is a staunch Bush supporter. Way to do your homework, McCain! *ROLLING EYES*
I was amused, however, at his temper tantrums over how well Obama did overseas. Obviously, Senator McCain felt confident that Obama would fall flat on his face but when that didn't happen, he threw himself on the floor and kicked his feet, screaming like a spoiled little 2-year-old girl.
While Obama spoke to a crowd of cheering Germans who were holding up Obama signs and wearing Obama buttons, McCain spoke at a German restaurant, apparently laboring under the belief that it was the same thing ... while Obama spoke to crowds of thousands of cheering people, McCain spoke to CHEESE. Obama has visited wounded troops on many occasions (contrary to popular myth among Hannity fans) and when he was banned from visiting wounded vets in Germany, he actually phoned the hospital to speak to them personally (I'll bet that Hannity, Limbaugh and O'Reilly failed to mention that fact)....
McCain, on the other hand, has consistently voted against the veterans and the fact that Obama has picked up more military contributions reflects the fact that veterans are well aware of McCain's habitual betrayal of them and their needs. He has voted against the VA hospitals, against veteran medical care, against the Webb G.I. bill and countless other bills. I don't want to hear some dimwitted excuse about "pork," either because McCain has very publicy defended his votes, saying unequivocally why he did not support them and none of those "reasons" ever had anything to do with "pork."
In fact, for just one example, McCain stated that he felt that Webb's GI bill was "too expensive" and that he felt that they shouldn't be entitled to that much assistance... that they should spend as much as 12 years in the military before reaping any educational benefits. So, evidently, he wanted to screw over the soldiers who are serving right now in Iraq and Afghanistan, etc., who have fought and sacrificed and even lost body parts to fight in an occupation which should never have happened in the first place. The bottom line was that McCain just doesn't think the veterans are "worth it."
Being a veteran himself, he should be deeply ashamed of those votes. But he apparently doesn't have the sort of insight required for him to see the kind of betrayal he has committed against his fellow veterans.
Not to mention the fact that the man thinks Iraq borders Pakistan, he doesn't know the difference between Sudan and Somalia, thinks Czechoslovakia is still a country, and thinks that Iran is training Al Qeda. He has absolutely no earthly clue what's even going on in the world. Next thing we know, he'll be announcing an impromptu trip overseas to visit the great people of Gaul!
His pick of Sarah Palin is one heck of a head-scratcher in itself. What was he thinking? Was he thinking?
McCain actually wants to convince us that the former mayor of Wasilla, Alaska, population 7000... and current governor of the state is more experienced than Barack Obama in "executive experience." Even more amusing, is the McCain campaigns odd assertion that, since Alaska is close to Russia, this means that Palin is a foreign policy expert! Never mind that Senator Obama is a member of the Senate Foreign Relations Committee AND is the Chairman of the Subcommittee of European Affairs (plus several other committees), and has been on every continent except Antarctica and perhaps South America. Palin got her first passport in 2007... has taken family trips to Canada and Mexico (not official trips)... and she's been overseas once.
Lo and behold....Recently, it was revealed that the McCain campaign LIED about Palin going to Iraq!
She has also cut funding for the Special Olympics by 62%. Ironic, huh??
Gov. Palin's made some assertions herself that are real doozies. Case in point, her contuining insistence that she said "thanks but no thanks" to the Bridge to Nowhere despite not written proof but VIDEO proof that she was indeed supporting it from the beginning. After the Bridge becamse defunct (it ran out of money), she KEPT THE MONEY and used it for an access road to be built for the now-defunct Bridge to Nowhere.
In a recent interview with ABC's Charlie Gibson, Palin was completely in the dark on a number of important matter, including the Bush Doctrine. About the only thing she could say was, "You can't blink." Over and over and over...
The McCain campign also insists that Gov. Palin never accepted earmarks during her tenures, if you will, as governor and mayor.. he only missed the correct figure by about $435 million.
Gov. Palin is currently under investigation (she refuses to cooperate) regarding the alleged firing of her former brother-in-law's boss Walter Moneghan for not firing her brother-in-law. Well, Gov. Palin is now insisting that this is not the reason why Moneghan was fired.. she says that it is instead because he was trying to present a bill that would raise money to help law enforcement investigate, arrest and convict SEX OFFENDERS. Not only that, Gov. Palin demanded that sexual assault survivors PAY FOR THEIR OWN RAPE KITS.
Rape kits are this thing called "evidence." They are crucial to the capture and conviction of rapists. So basically, if you have been raped in Alaska and you cannot afford to pay for your rape kit, your attacker is free as a bird. By enforcing this action, Palin is actively assisting rapists in getting away scot-free.
Is McCain serious? He can't be. The only explanation is that he is off his rocker.
We can't afford to have them in the White House, neither financially, physically, emotionally nor otherwise. We've gone through way too much over the past several years to be subjected to more of the same. I don't know if Obama will do a great job... I'm not in the business of fortune-telling. But we may at least have a CHANCE of having something positive happening to this great nation of ours with him at the helm. With McCain and Palin, it's just more war, more debt, more of everything of that has gone wrong in the USA in the past 7.5 years.
And I'm not even saying to vote for Obama... Heck, vote for Bob Barr instead. At least he'll take away McCain votes! Just, whatever you do, vote for what's right for your country. Vote against another reign of the warmongerers and economy-destroyers. I mean, come on....enough is enough already!
