INTERNSHIPS & FELLOWSHIPS

Now recruiting for Summer 2008 – Multiple Positions in DC
  • Students (Internship)
  • Recent Graduates (Fellowship)
  • Graduate Students (Fellowship)

Interns and fellows at 21st Century Democrats receive real world experience while making a difference for progressive candidates from around the country. We are seeking high-achieving, committed students or recent graduates with a commitment to progressive Democratic values to serve as interns and fellows this summer in our Washington DC office.

Our interns and fellows receive a stipend to help them offset the costs of meals and transportation. Work schedules are flexible; however, interns able to work 5 full days or 40 or more hours per week are preferred.

Interns and fellows work closely with our Political, Communications, and Finance departments to assist staff in planing, organizing and executing the many upcoming projects in 2008. Interns will have the opportunity to help develop and execute get-out-the-vote (GOTV) programs, plan and execute state and national campaign trainings, assist with donor research, and become familiar with the ongoing efforts of an active political action committee. Summer interns and fellows are responsible for organizing and executing our Summer Youth Leadership Speaker Series on Capitol Hill. Applicants should be detail oriented, have excellent communication skills, and have the flexibility to work on a variety of projects.

Please send a cover letter (including start/end date and weekly availability), resume, and list of references to Colin McDonnell at colin@21stdems.org.
