Online Communications Intern
We are currently seeking an Online Communications Intern who will have an immediate impact on the organization's online and social media presence.
Roles Include:
Drafting and editing emails to a list of over 58,000
Maintaining technical aspects of the website and assisting in the web redesign process
Managing and growing the organization's social media following, including Facebook and Twitter
Bottom-lining research on current hot political topics
Required Skills:
Familiarity with Microsoft Word, Excel, Publisher, and other Microsoft Office programs
Strong verbal and writing skills
Excellent organizational, project management and time-management skills
Experience in WordPress, Joomla, or a related CMS
Familiarity in blogging and content creation
Ability to carry out projects independently
Preferred Skills:
Strong interest in the political or communications fields
Graphic and web design experience a plus
Knowledge of basic HTML and other website maintenance skills
