Training Agenda
Our annual D.C. Field Organizer Training is an intense, four-day experience and requires all participants’ full time commitment each day.

The training features presentations by top campaign professionals during the day, and an ongoing campaign training exercises in the evenings, in which small groups design a plan and target data related to the field experience on Saturday.

Our program is designed to simulate campaign hours and intensity. Thus, training participants must be prepared for late evenings. View a draft agenda.

In addition to our interactive campaign sessions, our training includes:

Participants will take part in an intense campaign simulation where they will be challenged to apply their new skills using real world data to develop campaign strategy and action plan for their field experience.

FAQs
Am I required to stay overnight on the Georgetown University campus?
It is not uncommon for participants to work late into the night on the field plan project. Thus, we require all participants to stay overnight on the Georgetown University campus from Thursday through Saturday, even those who live in the Washington, D.C. area. This is a crucial part of the training experience and one that past participants have told us they appreciated and enjoyed. We regret that for this reason we cannot offer a reduced rate for participants living near Washington, D.C. All rooms are double occupancy. We will match you with a roommate unless you request one ahead of time. You may request a single room for an additional charge.

Is 21st Century Democrats offering other trainings?
At this time, our Major League Action Field Organizer Training is our most comprehensive program we will offer this cycle. We expect additional one-day trainings later this year in locations across the country, so keep your eye on our training schedule page.

I have registered to attend the training, will I receive additional materials?
We will be sending an informational packet to all registered participants containing a detailed itinerary, directions to the training, information on parking, what to bring and what to expect, and other pertinent information.
